Fruit Arrangements for Valentine’s Day
63There can be a lot of pressure on Valentine’s Day to give the perfect gift, with the perfect card, over a perfect dinner. Some feel this is simply a holiday created by big companies to make money while others feel it is the most romantic of days. No matter how you feel about it, Valentine’s Day is a good opportunity to take some time to let your significant other know how special they are to you.
Chocolates and flowers are not the only romantic gifts out there and as a matter of fact, or opinion, they have become somewhat typical. If you’re looking for a Valentine’s Day gift for that special person in your life, that’s more unique than the old standbys, consider giving a fruit arrangement.
People typically appreciate a gift with a little originality behind it and a well presented gift shows a bit more thought and care. Instead of simply giving chocolate why not give a gift of chocolate dipped fruits carefully arranged in beautiful packaging? These could be sent to the workplace at lunch or given in person following a nice dinner.
If you typically send flowers you might consider a fruit flower arrangement instead. The fruits are cut in the shape of flowers, some, or all, can be dipped in chocolate, and they are arranged to look like a floral arrangement. Grapes, melons, strawberries, cantaloupes, pineapple, kiwi, and other fruits can be used to create the fruit bouquet.
If your special someone is a fan of strawberries then a simple arrangement of strawberries and chocolate dipped strawberries might become a favorite Valentine’s Day gift. The strawberries can be left plain, or dipped in white chocolate, dark chocolate, or milk chocolate.
The great thing about fruit arrangements as gifts is that they are beautiful, can be eaten, and are healthier than candy.
Many companies sell unique fruit arrangements and roll out special collections designed especially for Valentines Day. Some florists sell these fruit arrangements as do grocers, fruit markets, and specialty companies that specialize in fruit arrangements locally as well as online. If you are budget conscious then consider making your own fruit arrangement gift for Valentine’s Day. You can find help at EdibleFruit.org.
